Lauren Gutterman is the Project Coordinator of OutHistory.org. She is also a PhD Candidate in the History Department at New York University focusing on the history of sexuality in the twentieth-century US. Her dissertation about heterosexually-married women who engaged in same-sex sexual relationships is titled, “‘The House on the Borderland: Lesbian Wives and the Remaking of Lesbian Identity, 1945-1979.” Lauren’s research has been supported by grants from Smith College and the Phil Zwickler Foundation.
