Scott Spillman is a graduate student in American history at Stanford University. Under the direction of Professor Caroline Winterer, he is working with Julia Mansfield to map the intellectual networks of eighteenth-century Americans, starting with Benjamin Franklin. He is also interested more generally in eighteenth- and early nineteenth-century American intellectual and political history.
