Panel: “Finding the Words: The Digital Linguistics Database”
Paulina Bounds is a Ph.D. candidate at the Linguistics Program at the University of Georgia. She has been working at the Linguistic Atlas Project for over two years as a Chief Research Assistant. Her duties started with developing technical procedures for converting over 7000 hours of the Linguistic Atlas of the Gulf States into a digital media. When the Project received NEH grant, those duties encompass also quality control and general project management. In her PhD. pursuit she is in her final stage of writing about the results of her research on speech production and perception of her hometown dialect in Poland.
